How to fix "USB Port not working"

My USB ports all stopped working suddenly. Nothing is being detected when connect to any USB port. I have tried everything registry, reinstall all ports, rererestart the machine, uninstall the newest software, download fix patches from Microsoft. (Well, yes, I do not want to Ghost back my laptop).

And/but it was fixed by a super simple way, after trying things from Google:

This worked for me about 30 minutes ago and I've heard it has helped a lot of other folks. Shut down your computer completely, unplug the power cord from the back (for laptop, take your battery off) for at least a minute (this drains the power from everything). Then power back up. All of my USB ports were flaking out, first one, then another, then my whole USB hub was gone. This little trick (which i have not even thinking about it before) has them all back up and running perfectly.

Sometimes a simple solution is the answer. I think too much these days.

  1. Wonderful site you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any
forums that cover the same topics talked about in this
article? I'd really like to be a part of group where I can get responses from other experienced people that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks a lot!
